Installation consisting of two parts:
- Projection of an image: this projection is created by lights, 2 maquettes and 2 lenses.
- Projection of text: the text is projected by a beamer and consists of excerpts from 'Wild Strawberries' by Ingmar Bergman and 'The town of cats' by Sakutaro Hagiwara.
The installation represents a moment from my collection of documents of a false memory. This memory was created from a selection of photographs that were etched in my memory by reproducing details via drawings.
The work refers to a cinematic deja vu, a universal memory image which every viewer can relate to.
The use of two lenses refers to the principles of stereoscopy. The philosophy behind this technique was an attempt to create photo images that were as close as possible to reality.
